The following are proposed projects. Anyone wanting to work on any project can take a lead, ask others and form working groups.

Possible projects, let’s think of more

• Have community gardens
• Set up ‘land-sharing’ between city and country folks
• Set up a garden at the school
• Create a community directory for cottage industry so people know who is doing what.
• Electric cars – build your own?
• Biodiesel cars – build your own?
• Biodiesel fuel – is it a good alternative? What are the laws affecting it and can they be changed? Do we want to experiment with using biodiesel?
• Make bike paths and horse friendly roads
• Generate electricity locally – wind, solar, hydro, geothermal?
• Our water supply - self sustaining energy source for water
• Learn to build homes and other buildings out of renewable, natural or recycled material.
• Learn to build homes that use less energy to heat and cool, making use of passive solar design and natural building materials that offer cost savings and greater insulation.
• Have re-skill-ing workshops to learn how to do things like: make cheese, preserve food, sewing, spinning, weaving and other handcrafts. Using hand tools, building natural homes, wild edibles, mushrooms, care for chickens and much more.
• Education and raising awareness about climate change and oil decrease. Get speakers, show videos. Offer programs.

Please share any ideas for projects and we will post them. Call or email.

It is by working together as a community that we can move ahead.
